A dark, full-bodied wine, of aromatic elegance and complexity with a bouquet of floral notes, preserved fruits, and spices. It feels satiny and vibrant on the palate as it reveals silky tannins with good aging potential.
A balanced act originating in the selection of grapes from Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, grown in the vineyards of zone A in the high Douro. The result of a natural stabilization process may show slight dregs.
With soils of Schist in a Mediterranean climate, winemaker Ricardo Noronha, has the grapes destemmed, then following the fermentation, done separately for each grape for 8 days in stainless steel vats, at a controlled temperature. Matured and aged for 20 months in stainless steel vats.
With a color of intense dark violet and elegant aroma's of floral with ripe fruit, jam and rock rose notes. The palate is well structured, intense and smooth on the palate, showing soft tannins in harmony with fruity aromas in a pleasant and lasting finish.
